Baby boy!

On Thursday, September 7th I had my 38 week appointment. The doctor checked to see if I was dilated at all. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I have been having so many contractions! And I was even up an hour the night before having hard contractions. Oh well. Carly wasn't anything and then I dilated in one night with her.
Starting this blue scrapbook for baby boy. It is so weird doing blue paper and a blue scrapbook!

Just when I don't think this belly can stretch any bigger, it does! Holy moly. These dresses were one of my favorite purchases for this pregnancy. I got three different colors and they have been on repeat every week.

swaddling blankets for baby boy. I couldn't decide which one to use for newborn photos, so of course I situate them and send a picture to my sisters to help me decide.

And the newborn sets, navy or stripes?! so cute and fun to choose which one for pictures.

Baby bandanas are super cute. Instead of bibs for them to catch spit up and drool.

This outfit! Oh my goodness. Brown pants AND a vest. Cat & Jack brand at Target is my go to right now.

I love my chill mornings with these two. They are seriously so good and fun. I had to snap a picture, Emma's hand on her cheeks and Carly totally laying down. I just love them.

Sometimes when we go to the mall we bring rolls of pennies to throw into the fountain. Carly threw one at a time, and Emma threw it by handfuls. haha

After nap cookie and shows with dad. We have been getting more time just me, Jeremy, and Emma while we wait for Carly to get out of preschool. Emma LOVES it.

Story time/soccer at the library.

trapping the soccer ball. They were so cute to watch.

We are working on writing her name. You can totally tell that's her name on the bottom! yayyy!

Carly's first day of Preschool!

She could hardly contain her excitement on Tuesday because she knew it was her first day of preschool! She is going to Lovely Lanes and I have heard nothing but good things about this preschool!

Since Clayt and Talon were still in town, I put Emma down for her nap and then Carly and I headed to preschool a few minutes early so we could have a little bit before walking her in. She was so excited. She kept asking if I was going to miss her. She kept asking when it was time to go in.

Her emoji and name is behind her with the glasses.

Table to write her name.

Then they get to pick what table they want to start with and sit and play with toys. Usually there is play-doh and she goes for that.

One more picture to send to Daddy!
She gave me a kiss and said good bye. No tears from her at all! I could tell she was a little nervous but she was so excited!

Then I came home and after Emma got up from naps, the uncles had left and we ate brownies and ice cream.

Jeremy gets off work before Carly is out of preschool. So he usually goes to pick her up. We were headed to Costco after her first day of preschool, so he walked in and got her and carried her out. I had to get a picture. I love these two.
She got in the van and said 'can I go back?'
I am so glad she loves it. She said she loves to paint and play outside and is meeting new friends.

Uncle Clayt and Uncle Talon here!

Uncle Talon (Jeremy's brother) who lives in Salt Lake City had work in Des Moines on Friday. So my brother, Uncle Clayt, drove to pick him up and came here for a long weekend.

The girls were in heaven. They each had an uncle they were obsessed with. They took turns sitting by Carly and Emma in the van and following them at the parks we took them to.
Of course, Carly wanted to take them to the HUGE park.

Carly and Emma love the swings. It was nice to sit back and have someone to push them and then run with them on the equipment.

"One, Two, Three!"

Trampoline fun with Uncle Talon and Uncle Clayt.
They played duck duck goose, mummy mummy come alive, and jumped super high.

Carly wanted to show them her wiffle ball skills.
They wanted Uncle Clayt and Uncle Talon to hit it over the fence. Clayt tried once and the ball didn't quite make it to the fence, Emma threw her hands up 'oh you can't!' hahahahaaha We laughed so hard. Then she pointed to Talon and told him to try. hahaha Clayt called her a jerk and hit it with his right hand next and made it into our neighbor's garden. haha

Pushing them on swings again.

Field of Dreams is always a favorite place to take people who visit. We went on Monday afternoon. There were only a few other people there. So we had the field to ourselves for a while.

Carly and Emma love climbing up the bleachers and jumping to Jeremy.

Those two old guys were hilarious. They were making fun of how the boys were hitting and catching. haha

We randomly ran into some elders that were there on their p-day. They were serving in the city close by.

She LOVES the dirt.

And so does she! They sat and played while the boys took turns hitting the ball to the outfield and catching it.

One last morning with the uncles and we took them to another of our favorite parks.
