December

Every year when the Christmas season comes, I feel like there is so much to do! Santa, buying presents, watching Christmas movies, baking, play in the snow, decorating.

Well here is what we did in December up until Christmas!

One of our Christmas trees. I loved having it here. Right by the t.v. and the fireplace.

Daddy's biggest helpers putting up the Christmas lights! This is the first time we have put up lights outside. We were so excited.

Jeremy isn't posing. Haha Although it looks like it. He is reaching in his pocket for more clips to put on the house to hold the lights.

Of course we played outside while daddy put up lights.

A Charlie Brown's Christmas is always a must see in prep for Christmas.

Our church puts on a Nativity Celebration every year. It has this life size Nativity displayed along with hundreds of Nativities people put out. The girls enjoyed the cookies that were served. There is always some kind of music playing. We got to watch Kennedy High School's orchestra perform.

Our house all lit up. Carly's favorite purple tree can be seen from the window.

Let's just say Jeremy works for an awesome company, Go Daddy.
Every year they do a competition that starts 6 weeks before Christmas.
Jeremy works really hard to earn so much in commission and gets rewarded every week with a certain amount of money.
Then we go on a shopping spree to COSTCO!! And Go Daddy had a drawing at Costco and we got even more money.

Santa was not a favorite in our house for a few weeks.
We talked about going to see him, but when it got down to it, they both freaked out!
I knew this was going to happen.

Emma was trying to run away. Poor girl.

Driving daddy's new remote control car.

Emma's turn to drive the car. haha She actually does a good job!

Our sweethearts.

Go Daddy Christmas Party!
We walk around, talk to people, eat food, and have a performance from a band.

This year we had Ludacris. It was fun! And pretty cool we had someone pretty famous come to the Go Daddy Christmas party.

Carly wasn't a fan of taking a picture in her new purple dress from Oma and Papa. She is pretty exhausted after church and just wanted to eat.

Playing in the snow with our neighbor Sunny!

Emma's new found love for snow. She eats a ton of it!

Our tall snowman!

And seconds later, he fell. Oops.

Watching the First Presidency Christmas Devotional is always one of my favorite things to do to get ready for the Christmas season. There is always lots of music and testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Even all bundled up she loved riding this car around.

Poor girl. She must have been tired. She fell asleep in cold weather while swinging.

She loves to sit between Jeremy and I.

Rudolph, tree, and fire. I love this scene.

We have been waking up Carly from her naps after an hour and fifteen minutes. She has been staying up until we go to bed and she is still awake! Poor girl. She still needs a nap every day, but shortening it has helped her fall asleep faster.

My best helpers in the kitchen. They love tearing up the lettuce for me, and the occasional bite.

She loves to help especially when it's brownies.

Painting their Christmas ornament for this year. We went to Hobby Lobby and they picked out ceramic Santa Claus to paint.

I love listening to them play.

After our Church Christmas party they were hungry. Yes, we ate dinner at the party, but these two were hungry when we got home.

Emma putting Carly's pajamas on. haha.

After church one Sunday rocking their new plaid skirts from Oma and Papa.

Our dear friends, who used to be our neighbors, came for a quick visit and exchanging of presents.

Their nursery leaders dropped off books and goodies for them. I want to get the recipe to this! It was a chocolate chip cookie inside a smore.

My favorite spot in the house all month long. I could see out our great big windows and see both Christmas trees lit up.

Playing in the snow.

Sledding down our little hill.

This sled was a steal at a garage sale! Emma just chills in it and gets pulled around.

This smile!

She is ready to go down the hill.

She loved laying down like this and getting spun around in circles.

Emma pulling Carly with her teeth. haha
I love Jeremy's laughing face.

Pulling the girls around in sleds.

Some days he comes home from work and crashes.

I love this man of mine.
I am so grateful he loves the snow as much as I do.

Trying to keep track of them while they each have their own cart. ha!

After preschool was over, Carly enjoyed introducing her friend to playing with snow inside. They all sat and ate snow the whole time.

Fire? Fire?
Emma asks this every morning because she can crawl up on the couch and flip the switch to turn it on.
