Can you believe it? 9 MONTHS!

Carly is nine months old today!! Oh my goodness. Where has the time gone??!
As soon as I put the sticker on her onesie, she tried ripping it off!
Changes in Appearance:  Carly now officially has 4 chompers (teeth). She has hairs on her head that barely touch her eyebrows now! Her hair is long and thick enough now to clip an actual bow in it.
She gets up like this all the time. Then sits back down. Then gets up again. This is how she gets around right now.
Activities and Experiences: Carly had a babysitter a few weeks ago while Jeremy and I went to the adult session for our Stake Conference. We put her down to bed before we left at 6:45p.m. But she woke up and was up for about an hour for the babysitter :( The babysitter said she didn't cry too much. But when Carly would, she walked her around and showed her the pictures in our house :)

One day Jeremy was trying to put pants on Carly. She was standing and holding onto his shirt as he was pulling her pants up. She threw herself at the crib at the same time Jeremy was pulling on her pants. She bonked her cheek on the crib. She had a nice bruise on her cheek for two weeks! Poor girl.

The next night, I was giving her a bath. She leaned forward in the bath tub and the next thing I know, she smacked her forehead against the side of the tub and ended face up on her back in the bath. Carly was gasping for air, I pulled her up out of the tub for a second. Then put her back down so she could keep playing. She kept gasping for air for a few seconds. Then went straight for her ducks and started playing. She had a bruise on her forehead to match the one on her cheek. Poor poor girl.

When Carly sits on our lap, she will pull on or shirt and stand up by herself. She has also started to reach for people to hold her :) LOVE this.

LOVE when she crosses her feet like this.

Favorites: Carly has this new thing of sticking anything and everything she finds on the floor in her mouth. Leaves and little pieces of fuzz are her favorite to find and keep in her mouth.

Carly also loves to keep food in her mouth for a good amount of time. One day we fed her some regular food that we were eating. Twenty minutes later we found it still in her mouth while she was playing on the floor.

Carly loves to giggle at her daddy. :) I love watching them together.
Eating: For a good week or so, Carly was refusing to eat baby food. All she wanted was to feed herself or eat the squeezable baby food pouches. We were trying to find new things to feed her. We found out that she likes avocado, bananas, pears, carrots, peas, bread, bagels, noodles, and green beans. She also loves water from a straw. Carly is really good at drinking from a straw! Sometimes we add a little bit of juice in with the water, but she mostly just drinks water. Over this past weekend it seemed like she changed her mind. She has started to eat more and more baby food. Thank goodness. We were worried she wasn't getting enough to eat! We were tired of fighting with her about eating and forcing it into her mouth. Now she just opens up her mouth and eats containers of baby food at a time! I am still nursing her, but only before she goes to sleep.
Sleeping:  Carly sleeps through the night. I put her to bed at 7:30-8p.m. every night. She doesn't wake up until 7a.m. for a morning feeding. I nurse her and she goes right back to sleep for a few more hours. Then takes a nap at 11a.m. and then again at 3:00-3:30p.m. She usually sleeps about an hour and a half to two hours at a time.
Carly now smiles so big she scrunches her nose. so cute!

We found a ticklish spot! We wanted a picture of her FOUR teeth!

I love this girl. She is my world.
